Shopping Via Direta

Directions: Av. Salgado Filho, across the road from Natal Shopping Center; 10 min. drive from Ponta Negra, 15 min. from Praia do Meio; served by several bus lines. Their parking loot used to be more than enough, but recently a good part of it has been taken by some events, such as circus, used cars fairs, jumble sales, etc. There's a car wash in the parking loot, where you can have your car washed while you shop - no other big shopping center offers that.

Via Direta is the Portuguese for Direct Sell. The shopping was meant to be a channel for producers sell directly to consumers at discount prices; however, the model didn't work as planned and the shopping more and more became business as usual; Via Direta catters for middle and lower classes.
The shops are not of particular touristic interest (a few furniture and for house shops, a restaurants place, a bank branch, several services - includind an internet access room), but in Via Direta there's a Citizen Central.
