Universities in Natal

There are two public universites in Natal:
Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte The federal university, still considered the best in Natal; certainly, the one with more students and courses.
Universidade Estadual do Rio Grande do Norte Maintained by the state of Rio Grande do Norte; has campi all across the State.
There are several private superior institutions in Natal, most dedicated to one or a few areas. The most known private university is Universidade Potiguar, or UnP.
